Dr. Jeff Pittman, Chancellor of St. Louis Community College, will make the presentation. The report reflects strong job growth by employers but also the "coming storm" of a shortage of skilled workers. This is particularly acute for middle skill jobs which require education and training beyond high school but not a 4 year degree. Educators and employers must work together to address this shortage. St. Louis Community College commits to this through the alignment of programs and curricula to the needs of employers, one of the colleges six strategic initiatives.
